Menu Variety - Awesome

There are 19 items ranging from $4.50 to $20.50. What's particularly interesting about the menu is the breadth of items on the HH menu. Aside from having unique items there are a few full entrees on the menu; something we typically don't see. Plenty of drink options.

Food Quality - Awesome

We ordered:
  • Sliders Royale - $10.50
  • Gyoza Pork Dumplings - $10.50
  • Truffle Parmesan Fries - $6.50
  • Goose Island IPA - $4
  • Signature Sangria - $5
Food all came hot and within about ten minutes of ordering. Servings were generous. The sliders and Parmesan fries were delicious. The sauce on the dumplings was great; Patty noticed if you didn't use much sauce the dumplings themselves tasted just like the frozen potstickers from Costco.

Service Quality/ Friendliness - Awesome

Despite it being New Years Eve, we were approached with menus right after being seated, with the server returning in a few minutes for drink and food order. Very prompt and pleasant service.

Noise Level/ Ambience - Good

Noise level registered at 70 decibels, despite the bar area being less than half full. There were 5 TVs; all with sound muted. The music was unnecessarily loud. The bar area is darker than some, but is pleasant to look out the large windows at the corner of NE 8th and Bellevue Way. There is plenty of seating in the bar separate from the restaurant, including both booths and high tables, but the bar can fill up as the evening progresses.

Value - Good

The drinks were about as cheap as we've seen for a happy hour. The food, although delicious, was a bit on the pricier side. They don't use rounded numbers on pricing categories, tacking on $.50 for each item. Bothersome still is using "1/2" on the menu to represent $.50. Why not just price food items at a whole dollar amount like the drinks? On the positive, Joey uses hand-held terminals to pay at table. We really like when restaurants do that to keep our credit card in sight the entire time.
