Menu Variety - Good

There are nine choices, three each at the $3, $5.50, and $7 level. Mostly typical happy hour food. Good selection of domestic and specialty beers, wine, and mixed drinks. Calorie count is helpful.

Food Quality - Awesome

We had:
  • Cheeseburger - $5.50
  • 5 Wings - $7
  • Calamari - $5.50
  • Mac & Jacks African Amber - $4.50
  • Hogue Merlot - $6
Another couple joined us and had the Baja Fish Tacos ($5.50) and Chicken Lettuce Wraps ($7). Food came hot and at the same time. Large servings. Calamari was nicely breaded, not too greasy. Wings weren't breaded (the way Lonnie likes) and the sauce not too spicy. Patty had the cheeseburger and said it was delicious. It also came with a pickled garnish that Lonnie ate, really good and unique.

Service Quality/ Friendliness - Meh

This was a big downside. despite the restaurant not being very busy at all, took 15 minutes for the server to take our order. At a table of four there was only one set of utensils, no offering of water. Food did come timely after order. Took a long time to get our check. We could understand if the restaurant was busy, but it was surprisingly empty for a Friday evening.

Noise Level/ Ambience - Awesome

Noise level registered at 60 decibels. There were two TV's, all with sound muted. A piano played in the background, loud enough to know it was there but not loud enough to impact conversation. We sat next to the window at a barstool-height table with comfortable chairs.

Value - Good

The happy hour pricing for food made for a great value. The downside for us was the requirement to have to spend $3.40 per person on drinks to get happy hour pricing.  Patty and Lonnie typically split a beer/wine, but each of us had to buy our own drink. Our friends who don't drink alcohol had to get an overpriced raspberry cooler and diet coke to meet the minimum. We'd prefer they bump up the level pricing say to $5/$7/$9 and nix the drink requirement.
