Menu Variety - Yuck

There are six HH choices. The pickle fries were the only unique item. Basic selection of drinks. The online menu only has happy hour drinks and the prices on the website didn't match the prices in the restaurant. The menu on the far left is on premise, the one on the right is from their website. Every item has a price discrepancy. There was no HH food listed on the website; had to call to find out if food was served at HH.

Food Quality - Nah

We had:
  • Chicken Quesadilla - $9 ($6 for cheese only, added chicken for additional $3)
  • Sweet Chili Lime Wings - $6
  • Space Dust IPA - $5
The wings were rubbery and there were only four for $6. Even the chili lime sauce was bland. The quesadilla was small and bland. Very disappointing for a $9 serving, particularly when you compare it to the $6 quesadilla at Suite. The only thing keeping this from a "yuck" rating was that the food was at least edible.

Service Quality/ Friendliness - Yuck

The server was a pleasant guy, but that's where the positives end. I (Lonnie) called Rivue earlier in the day to find out if they had food on Happy Hour. The front desk clerk at Residence Inn answered and said she didn't know, so transferred me to Rivue. I heard "hello," then before I could ask my question, the person who answered hung up. I called back again and asked the front desk clerk to walk over to Rivue and find out if they served food. She told me they did serve food so we went.

We arrived at 5:15 and took a seat. A man wearing jeans, tennis shoes and a quartrer-zip pullover came over to take our order. Lonnie asked him about the difference between the $6 HH wings and $11 full-priced menu wings. He told us there was no difference, but didn't seem too sure. When we got the food and there were only four wings on the plate, he then informed us that they had a football playoff special of 12 wings for $8. Again the server was nice to us, but the combination
of not knowing the basics of the menu, informing us of the wings special after the fact, having to ask for a bill, and his unprofessional dress was of the worst service quality we've seen.

Noise Level/ Ambience - Nah

The noise level registered at 58 decibels. There were three TVs on three different channels with sound on two of them, as well as and music playing in the background. There were plenty of tables, both high and low. The decor was cheap and the area very brightly lit.

Value - Yuck

The $5 Space Dust IPA was in line with other HH's, but the $9 bland quesadilla and $6 rubbery wings were hugely disappointing. The server did reduce the price of the wings by $3 after he told us about the "weekend special" but even with that the value was disappointing.
